Cachi: Un Pueblo Precioso

Cachi
* Cute (veryyyyy small) little town. There is literally nothing here except a church (which you can’t enter) and cuteness.

* Hotel recommendations:
-- Stay at Hostel Don Arturo: $50 AR/room (usually a double bed and a single bed so it is good for 2-3 people) and it comes with a nice little breakfast.
>> Nice view, lovely owners, clean rooms with your own shower, etc.
>> Not difficult to find because the town is SOOO small but when you are coming into town instead of going straight there will be a little road off to your right and it is right there on the right hand side

* Food recommendations:
-- Dinner: I don’t have a clue what the name of anything was but there is not much to choose from in this town anyways.  If you go from Don Arturo’s towards town you will hit the church, at the church take a right down a little street, and when it ends take a left.  Follow that street until you see a bigger looking restaurant on a corner.  It has a yellow interior and wine EVERYWHERE.  There will also probably be a man with a bow tie and alpaca vest on who has kind of gross teeth but is very nice and speaks very slow Spanish. He will be your waiter.  They have great food, including AMAZING empanadas.
-- Breakfast: At the church take a right and you will see a wine store that also sells coffee and does breakfasty type things.  They have good coffee and pretty good morning food.

* Other things:
-- Town of lots and lots of artisans.  Don’t buy wine here because it is slightly over priced but BUY LEATHER and JEWELRY because it is cheap and beautiful.  In specific there is a place called Inti Kausay (Taller de Artesanias, Tel: 0387-154085449) in between Don Arturo’s and the church, which will be on the right hand side if you are walking from Don Arturo’s towards town.  The owner is really friendly and they have some nice things even though it is small.  Also, to the right of the restaurant (if you are staring at it) there is an artisan shop that sells nice silver jewelry.  There are usually dogs humping outside because the owner has a female German shepherd who is the “talk of the town” if you will.
