The Thompson Lesbians Do B.A.

Remember Sylvio? The doorman who saved me from the horrors of fake Argentinean money? Well, you are all in for a treat. Sylvio gave my sister and me free passes to his favorite club (Hippopotamus) where he said his friends would "hook us up."

We arrived at the door and here is the conversation that unfolded:

Man at door: "Do you know what this place is?"
Me: "No? What is it?"
Man at door: "Es cabaret con chicas."
Me: "Well our friend gave us these cards...."
Man at door: "Oh, Sylvio. Come with me."

Before I now it, there are sexy women crowded around us in the most elaborate (and skimpy) outfits and our waiter, Santiago, asks us if we are "looking for anything special." I clear up immediately that we are only there to drink, and we come to the conclusion that Sylvio thinks we are a lesbian couple and that is why he sent us to hook up with strippers. What do dyke's do best? Well, they sit in the corner and drink beer. Which is exactly what we did.

Time goes by, and we are ready to leave after I dodged glances from many women, and we get our bill... $240 pesos. How much is that you ask? Oh, it's about $75 dollars. Thank you Sylvio. I am currently under watch by the Argentinean police for trying to murder Sylvio.

Oh, and our landlord, Raul, asked Jenny and I today if were a "parejita" aka a lesbian couple. But don't worry, he is accepting of it because he has been with his gay lover for over 13 years. Glad to know all of Argentina thinks we are a LESBOS.

Other than that, we are departing on a trip throughout Chile and Argentina tomorrow. We will be hiking through the glaciers of Patagonia and doing all sorts of wondrous things which will be amazing. We are with a group traveling with 10 women and a female tour guide, and they are from all over the world (Denmark, UK, Australia, etc.). Should be quite interesting to see if I can handle that much estrogen every day for two weeks.
